Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has waded into the diving debate, with his comments sending out a severe warning to his players that it will not be tolerated.
Year after year, the diving debate raises its head, and only last week there were high-profile incidents that caught the eye.
Later in the game between Tottenham and Chelsea, Torres picked up a second yellow card—having been booked for the earlier incident.
Mourinho was not happy with Torres’ dismissal, and he has warned that he will not tolerate such acts from his own players.
According to Sporting Life, Mourinho said:
I hate diving. My players know they will be in big trouble with me if they dive. It's very bad.Matt Law of the Mirror picked up on the fact that during his previous stint in charge of Chelsea, Mourinho coached Didier Drogba and Arjen Robben.
The search of a red card to another player for me is a disgrace.
If one day I win a game where I feel I did it because one of my players didn't behave correctly, I will strongly criticise him.

In Law’s piece, Mourinho said:
"I have not dropped a player because of diving, but I have been strong and critical. I spoke about it with Drogba and Robben."
Mourinho also made it clear that if diving is to be taken out of the game, the authorities have to make a concerted effort to come down hard on offenders.
